1) The US has historically ALWAYS had a fairly high rate of homicide
And all the gun-control and death sentence moratoriums had
absolutely NO effect on that
Also the death sentence is NOT about reducing the murder rate,
except maybe indirectly by eliminating those willing to commit murder from
having another chance to do it again.
2) Since the near-total gun ban in England, the murder rate has indeed
been increasing
3) Typically, crime, including murder, has far more to do with the
number
of young males in a society than anything else
