Interesting note.

Scalia claims to have devined "original intent" to expand historical 
interpretation of hte amendment.



But he ignored the fact that the version cirulated to the states and 
ratified by the states is _not_ the version written into the bill of
rights.



The original, ratified version did not have the comma after "militia" that

so many giun unts have used to confuse what is really a simple statemtn,
and 
does not capitalize "arms". Previous courts used this to interpret the 
amenfdment to be a prtetion ofhte military.



So Scalia used a typo to change law.
