The Statistical Abstract of the United States, a great source of
information
on a wide variety of topics, is still organized much as it was when first
published in 1878. My free website, www.facster.com, makes the Abstract
fully accessible for the first time.
How did I add value to the Abstract?
I designed Facster so that it:
.. has easy to use key-word searching.
.. lets you zero in on the information of interest.
..provides links to source internet sites from your search results.
.. contains the entire electronic version of the Abstract, not the
abbreviated tables in the bound edition or the government published .pdf
files.
.. presents all data in the same easy to read time-series format, unlike
the
published data series, which are all in different formats.
.. lets you combine information from different parts of the Abstract.
.. allows easy browsing of the Abstract's information.
.. lets you bookmark your search results.
Facster includes the California Statistical Abstract and will continue to
grow with other government statistics.
I hope you will find Facster useful for your research needs and look
forward
to your comments.
