School locker room video spurs arrest
Thursday, May 22, 2008
A maintenance worker at Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village was
arrested in connection with a peeping tom incident involving a video
camera and the girls' locker room, according to a school official.
Oaks Christian School Headmaster Jeffrey Woodcock sent a letter to
parents on Tuesday stating that another employee discovered a tape,
which led to the arrest.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department arrested a 39-year-old man
Monday, but additional information about the arrest and the man's name
were not available Wednesday night.
The man was employed by Oaks Christian School and Calvary Community
Church's maintenance contractor, according to the headmaster's letter.
School officials scheduled a meeting this morning for parents and
students, but Woodcock would not comment about what might transpire at
the meeting.
Woodcock also noted in the letter that the seized video was short in
duration and of poor quality so that no specific individual could be
identified.
Contacted Wednesday night, Woodcock would not comment beyond what he
said in his letter.
