I hope you're right.  Human ingenuity might just do it -- if cartels
don't buy and hide the technology.

Back to the subject of AmeriKKKa's huge coal reserves.  I've seen
estimates in the hundreds of years of oil and gas supplies if
converted.  The technology is primitive now (dirty and expensive --
even Exxon gave up after lots of work in the 70's and 80's), but
Germany ran its last war using coal conversion.  It'll be interesting
to watch the desperation and power plays (no pun intended) along the
way.  (I worked for decades in "oil patch" technology, made my
fortune, and gained some good background.)
