Again this morning, the Fox & Friends team used the Ed Gillespie
letter to Steve Capus, to target the network they say leans "left."
"On MSNBC you have very political people, Chris Matthews, Keith
Olbermann," said Gretchen Carlson. Carlson said she was "flipping
around" the other night and heard Olbermann go on a "12-minute rampage
where he told the president to shut the 'h' up." (Former Miss Americas
don't say 'hell' on morning TV.)
"Can you imagine John Chancellor or David Brinkley telling the
president, 'Mr. President, shut the hell up?' Of course not," asked
and answered Steve Doocy. Doocy said he also, "heard a rumor that that
guy, Keith Olbermann, might actually fill in for Tim Russert hosting
"Meet the Press." (complete with graphic of Olbermann's head planted
on Russert's body.)
"Can you imagine how Tim Russert would feel if that guy filled in for
him on the longest running television show in American history?" asked
Doocy.
Probably the same way Chris Wallace would feel if Bill O'Reilly filled
in on Fox News Sunday. Which is why it will be a cold day in 'h'
before either happens.
