Is there any good news for the American economy? New products to sweep world markets, etc.?

A friend told me of flying over Ford's Rouge River plant during WW2. A
huge operation that was mass producing B-26 bombers on an assembly
line. Now we have a collection of pandering political hacks talking
about more oil drilling. A great leader would push for massive effort
to end most oil dependancy by creating incentives for fuel cell
powered vehicles. Meantime, our "wizards of wall street" try to create
excitement touting McDonald's entry into foreign markets!!!
