IT WAS CREATED USING TECHNOLOGY WHICH WOULDN'T BE INVENTED FOR TWENTY
YEARS.  Only the terminally gullible or the willfully ignorant believe
that typewriters in 1973 could created kerned copy.


In 1973, I worked briefly as a designer for a New Jersey underground
paper - the Aquarian.  There was nothing available at the time which
would allow us to create kerned type.  We used electric typewriters,
and our copy looked it.

In 1980 - 83, I worked as Weekend Art Director for UPI, and Staff
Artist for the New York Daily News.  To create type, we used transfer
letters (thin letters on sheets of plastic) - not computers.

From 1983 - 1986, I was Advertising Art Director for Marvel Comics.
To create the sort of kerned type we sent the copy out the type
houses.

It wasn't until the late eighties that computers sophisticated enough
to create copy came around - a decade and a half after the supposed
memo.

There is not an honest expert who doesn't dismiss the memo as a clumsy
forgery.   But then, the modern left is full of stupid, dishonest
people like yourself, aren't they?  You will believe literally
ANYTHING, as long as its framed as an attack on George Bush.
