Economic Non-violence!

Call to Activism!

The best action, about which I heard, against not only the war but against

'Bu****sm,' was a proposed Gandhi-style economic activism. It goes like
this:
You cannot oppose lies with silence. You cannot oppose the Patriot Act,
the
Iraq War, Social Security diminution, Raids on our National Resources,
Rollback of Environmental Protections, by shouting on a mountaintop
either.

Something must be done, but what? What is the most effective way of
winning
a war? The first and most potent means of neutralizing an opponent is the
cut off his air... that is, cut off his supply lines. If the 'owner****p
society' is the base of Bush's sup****t, attack his base of sup****t.
Refusal
to buy more than the minimum required for family sup****t attacks the very
root of Bush's political machine; and in the era of tight economics, it
makes a bigger splash than a million rallies! It puts the 'elitists' into
the hands of their exploited... and not just for a 'take your secretary to
a
motel day'... but continuing until some genuine response is generated. And

yes, you should be vocal about it... let Bush and his clones and his
nepots
know from where their misfortune arrives.

Buy no new cars, buy used. buy food but don't replace that blender... and
keep it up. If need requires, set up co-ops to share resources; never
relent
never back away from action.

Answering violence with violence just proves the oppressor's premise, that

force is needed to keep order. Only non-violent, non-consumerism hurts the

exploiters where it hurts them most... their pocketbooks!

Pardon me if I am a poor messenger; perhaps it will take someone else,
more
eloquent than I, to be able to explain this concept more clearly.
