Are conservatives this dumb? The authorization to use force came BEFORE
UN inspectors were on the ground in Iraq. Bush begged Congress for
authorization so the US would speak with one-voice before the UN.
The UN listened, put inspectors back in Iraq and the inspectors found
nothing. That should have been the end of the story.
The fact that Bush demanded the authorization weeks before the mid-term
election in 2002 and he withheld information about Korea's nukes is
sufficient to know with absolute certainty that Bush lied. The fact
that he promised to get an up or down vote in the UN and then cut and
ran is also sufficient.
Democrats are being attacked for believing the lies of the Bush White
House. If that's the best the right wing can do, they should go away.
