The Rich pardon has been bandied about all day here and numerous
reponders have pointed out that Rich's lawyer argued that no real
crime had been committed. I don't know the facts, but presidents have
been pardoning those types of people for a long time. Apparently, they
just hold their nose and sign the papers.
You fail to recognize that the Bush commutation of Libby's sentence is
far more sinister. Libby is the first current member of a presidential
adminitration to be convicted of not one but multiple felonies since
Iran-Contra. And the facts surrounding the whole Plame affair have yet
to come out.
Sorry but Clinton held his dick in Denis Rich's mouth and THEN signed the
papers. Libby had nothing to do with outing Plame. The jury said so.
