When I was maybe eleven years old I was taken angling with my
father a couple of times.  I was *assured* that fish didn't feel any
pain or distress, and they were put back in the water, not killed.
Well, putting worms on hooks put me off in any case, but I did
catch this beautiful silver and gold scaled baby carp, and I took
him home and put him in an aquarium (I'd kept a few guppies
before then), which was of course wrong.. but I didn't understand
that at the time.  Well, as the days and weeks went by, this fish not
only survived displacement but surprisingly thrived, and before
very long that little fish became a much bigger fish so I took him
back to the lake and released him.  Probably the best part of all.

After being allowed the right to reproduce, but not all are.

I have indeed spoken out against all of those acts of cruelty.

I do what I can as one person, but happily we're everywhere.
