I'm afraid you'll find that a large number of people who read your
posts would regard you as pretty weird. I'm not saying they wouldn't
say the same about me.

The statement needs considerable qualification, it's not satisfactory
as it stands, but driving a motor vehicle is not a counterexample, as
I said that is not "likely" to cause injury or death if reasonable
precautions are taken. If you don't take reasonable precautions, then
it *is* ethically unjustifiable, and that illustrates my point.

I wasn't doing that simply by making the statement that you're
bursting a blood vessel over.

I achieved high distinctions in many philosophy subjects in my
undergrad years. I'm very well-read in many areas of philosophy
including moral philosophy. I published an article about moral
philosophy in "Cogito", the journal of the Socratic Society, which was
reviewed by other students. I've given two paid lectures about moral
philosophy and presented a paper about moral philosophy at a
conference. I have an ambition to a research project in moral
philosophy inspired by the conversations I've had here, I believe that
the main obstacle to my producing something publishable will be time
management.

I'm sorry if I ever gave the impression that I was claiming it went
further than that.

Incidentally, while I would agree that the following isn't really
relevant, I attended a conference about Peter Singer's work, Peter
Singer was there and gave a response to each talk, I participated in
the discussions, I had conversations with Peter Singer, he's on good
terms with my friend Siobhan O'Sullivan who's just finished her Ph.D.
in political science. Also Peter Singer once gave a talk about his
book "The Ethics of What We Eat" at the Animal Liberation NSW office
and I had a chat with him in the pub afterwards about why he was a
utilitarian.
