Your memory needs refre****ng, Maam.  No problem:

The self proclaimed expert was the nimrod who poorly designed it and
the basic reception was about half a dozen recognized experts in the
crypto/math field trying to convey how poorly designed it was, and why
no one would want to analyze it (and no one did, it seems).

So this dink proceeded to hang out in sci.crypt with multiple NYMS and
debated himself about it and slandered others and just generally made
a laughing stock out of himself, cleanly removing any possible traces
of credibility that likely wasn't there to begin with.

Every so often he posts under another NYM and asks the following:

The idea that someone has to care enough to try and crack it before
any cracking or analysis will take place, and the likelyhood of that
being aproximately zero, these ideas appear lost on this dufus.

The capper will be when he starts using asterisks in the subject line
to try and call attention back to that dead horse, and then it will be
officially pitiful and sad.  But still kind of funny to some of us.
