I forget to mention several members of the "royal" family.

As I understand it, the majority of adult residents in the USA have used
illegal drugs, including several presidents. They are all criminals that
you would want locked up.

Does that make you feel better? Does it make the USA safer?

Those drug offenders wouldn't be in jail, at a cost of $30,000(?) pa each,
if those drugs were treated the same as alcohol and tobacco. Do you like
paying your tax dollars to incarcerate drug offenders, many of whom are
likely to be otherwise law abiding?

The increase in trafficking is due to the increase in demand. As the home
of capitalism the USA should realise that drug use is a consumer led
economy.

Are you about to re-criminalize alcohol? look at the mess that made in the
1920s, and look at the mess the prohibition of other drugs makes now.

Wankers, I like that use of BritSlang! We try, albeit ineffectively, to
rehabilitate offenders, by giving them education and a vocation.

As the majority of the population are drug offenders, released prisoners
won't be victimizing the innocent.
