The drug war is a government entitlement program for the police as
well as black-ops.

The government dangled seized money and seized assets in front of
police in a classic implementation of Pavlov's experiment.  Now, with
their budgets riding on seizures, everytime the police get airtime
they are hammering on the concept that drugs are too blame for every
ill.  I suspect that this message resonates well with s***bag
politicians, bible-thumpers and inbred hillbillies.

The government itself is involved in massive drug smuggling and has
been for some time.  These profits allow elements of the government
to pursue illegal or unauthorized operations.  These drugs are also
being used as a lever to push unprecedented numbers of Americans into
prison and government control.
