It truly is a sign of the times, not content with snarfing their
fingerprints and testing proto-id cards on schoolchildren, even their
nurses are now being trained to spy on them.
No nurse worth their salt would miss the signs of an OD on something, so
the training must be designed to aid the recognition of usage that's
otherwise imperceptible.
Ok, kids shouldn't be using psychoactive drugs, but I remember how I felt
as a thirteen year old and I'd have been hopping mad at the idea of
getting had up despite a lack of noticeable effects.
Also the same thing applies to children as adults, the negative effects of
careful consumption are negligible in comparison to the destruction
invoked by detection.
