There's no such thing as moral bankruptcy sonce that is a mere
metaphorical term.

A meaningless figure, as the cash cannot be realised. Should the US be in
a
position to require these assets to be liquidised who's going to come up
with the cash? A country can be bankrupt when on paper its citizens assets
outweigh the debts because firstly the assets are not the property of the
government and secondly even if the government sequestered them they
couldn't be converted into cash with which to discharge the debt. So in
short even if the net total wealth of US citizens amounts to more than $57
trillion that has absolutely no bearing on whether or not the US is
bankrupt
