What's for NRA after Heston?

by manasavachakarma <soup_or_power@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 13, 2008 at 10:47 AM

My colleague has passed on some NRA mags. It is really entertaining to
see the NRA members advertising their wares. One of them goes on to
say PBA shots are preferable to lead shots. What is PBA? Their concern
for environment is very touching.

I see that most of the guns are collectors' items. Is that true? Once
I had the privilege of viewing the civil-war gun collection of my
neighbor. Like Heston he would say: "the landlord will take them away
from my cold hands." Not to mention, he had his share of problems with
the landlord who could've evicted him for harboring guns and having a
pet against the rules. By the way, he was paranoid about trusting any
bank to keep his earnings in an account. He used to go to gun shows
when his health permitted. Sometimes he handed over the guns to his
trusted friends to sell/exchange on his behalf. Needless to say he
took cold cash and put it away in a bank locker! Never paid taxes
also. Is this the modus-operandi of gun collectors? Even though he was
a trucker I was amazed at his collection of books on civil war and
guns. I surely miss him.

So I would like to nominate Mr.Fred Stackowich as the president of
NRA.

Thanks for your sup****t
