this country , the United States of America, was founded by heroes who
assembled against a very viable, and very repressive, foe, England.
had the colonists NOT had guns, they never could have overthrown the
repressive English.

likewise, if our government ever goes all haywire, and to being so
repressive and excessive as the English were to the colonists... well,
you know the rest of the story

and, were some force as repressive as England USED to be came and took
our government over, we would have to be in fine fettle to cast the
interlopers out of our fine country.
