Possibly. If so the interesting question is will it be
corrupted by liberalism before it is empowered by the
spread of nuclear technology and before hackers can
create bio viruses the way they create computer viruses.

But there is at present, no indication of Islam being
corrupted by liberalism, quite the reverse.

During the colonial period, various colonial powers
announced that Christians in Moslem countries were under
their protection, which protection also benefited Jews
and Muslim apostates.

Since that protection has been withdrawn, Islam has been
returning to its bloodstained Koranic roots, purging the
corruption of liberalism with which it had been
infected.

Remember, that in Christendom, freedom of religion came
because Christians returned to the peaceable and
tolerant message of the New Testament.

Muslims are now returning to the bloody and intolerant
message of the Koran.

A liberal Muslim is an ex Muslim. Islam shows no
inclination to make its peace with modernity, and lacks
the Koranic resources to do so.

Muslims are required to believe that the whole earth
belongs to Allah and his messenger, therefore *all*
Islamic wars are defensive. As Christians are required
to be "fishers of men", Muslims are required to be
conquerors of men.

The nation state is on its way out, though I fear that
what replaces it will not be what either of us are
hoping for.

The Ayatollah is building missiles capable of reaching
Europe, hopes to have nukes soon, and predicts the
conquest of Europe or some part thereof in 2020. And
the reaction of Europeans is to protest the installation
of a missile ****eld! The Ayatollah probably does not
have the strength to rule Europe, but neither do
Europeans have the will to defend themselves. Sooner or
later, this overripe fruit will fall to the ground. I
hope that the nation state unwilling to defend its
citizens will eventually be ignored by citizens willing
to defend themselves, but fear an outcome considerably
less sunny.
