Hello,
To give you a concrete idea as to the kind of reference work I seek:
American Military History: The Costs of American Wars in Lives and
Dollars from April 19, 1775 Through December 31, 2005
Author: Donald F. Fies
This book is extremely good, yet incomplete because it does not list
enemy casualties.
