A attempt to plant the largest paddock of wheat in 24 hours in south-
west Queensland has smashed the existing world record.
The Coggan family from Westmar passed the existing 500-hectare record
early on Thursday morning.
They've just stopped the tractor after planting around 850 hectares in
24 hours.
"At two minutes past one this morning we cracked the 500 hectare mark
and we celebrated with a couple of sparklers," she says.
"We still have to have our official measurer come out and check it all
and then we have to have our independent witnesses go through back to
the UK to the Guinness records before we can call it an official
record."
