In the calm period after the final Democratic primaries ended a lot
the pundits have virtually (but not totally) conceded the presidential
nomination to Barack Obama.
This is as foolish as it is incorrect.
Hillary Clinton has proved, time and time again that she is the better
and stronger candidate. By far. She garnered over 18 million votes.
She won the big states such as Pennsylvania, Texas, Ohio, New York,
California, Florida, Michigan....too many to list.
She won 10 out of the last 14 primaries, including landslides in
Kentucky, West Virginia, Montana, South Dakota and Puerto Rico.
She is unstoppable. Clinton can beat John McCain in the general
election with ease. Already, as we have seen, Obama's poll numbers
against McCain are slipping. He will not last.
The Democratic National Convention begins on August 25, 2008. By
Tuesday afternoon, on August 26th, it will become stunningly evident
that Hillary Clinton will have garnered enough superdelegate switches
to secure the nomination for herself. When the voting confirms her
nomination, it will be a surprise to the pundits and Obamicans. But
not to the well-informed.
Remember what Terry McAuliffe said:
"These folks are not quitting on Hillary Clinton, and she is not
quitting on them. We are in this thing =91til the end. We are in it. We
are taking it to Denver, and we=92re taking it to the White House.
Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the United States of
America.=94
McAuliffe don't lie.
