The next American president is going to have to deal with the Iraqis.  He
thus had better care about what they believe, so that he can shape a
coherent foreign policy in their regard.  A lack of knowledge of this
country and its culture on the part of our leaders has had a large share
of
responsibility in making this whole mess.
