According to Rev. David Meyers, yes. And why? Mikhail Gorbachev wrote
an article recently where he said the United States has become an
empire with 700 known military bases throughout the world, spending
more on military spending than all other countries combined. In the
Bible a country is usually turning it's swords into plowshares, which
usually results in plenty of food and abundance, or turning it's
plowshares into swords, which often results in poverty, unemployment,
death and suffering. It's pretty obvious the US has been doing the
latter in recent years. And what are we getting as a result? A record
number of tornadoes. A record number of acres burned by wildfires.
Floods in Iowa worse than anything for 500 years, that have pretty
much wiped out our entire corn crop for this year. These policies are
not only hurting us but the whole world economy. I enjoy watching the
old movie "The Greatest Story Ever Told" where Charleton Heston played
John the Baptist. John the Baptist would yell out "Repent, Repent" at
the top of his lungs to the world of his day, and I think if he was
here again today he would be doing the same. See
