Multiple war-head nuclear ICBM are also defensive in that spirit. They 
are intended in dissuasion. Even better, they are preventive. Isn't it 
great how everything can be perceived as defensive. If it was purely 
defensive purposes, than along with the installation of anti-missile 
defense, USA should also destroy its nuclear arsenal. That would be 
really a DEFENSIVE missile system.
