Oh yea ... why do so many xians think "heaven" is
in the UPWARDS direction, towards the airless void ?
A very medieval, indeed pre-medieval, view of the
universe ... 

We've been up there. No golden castles built on
the clouds. No angels bangin' into the Hubble
telescope ... just hard vaccuum and cosmic rays.

Seems that a 'heaven' might be 'upwards' perhaps in
the direction of a 4th or 5th physical dimension ...
out of OUR plane entirely. The choosen wouldn't
'rise' at all (no matter what any scriptures may
state), they'd just shrink away to a point (from
our POV) and vanish. 

Then the big party could begin  :-)
